  1. ive always wanted to go to portland– you know its hip when restaurants are selling their own merch! looked tasty guys!
ps: love the fanboy and the cute servers!

  2. I'm glad you guys picked blue star over voodoo. Also, I feel the need to apologise for the trash and camps everywhere. It never used to be like this. Thanks for visiting!

  3. we have a salt and straw in San Diego and they have some more amazing flavors like olive oil, lavender, and strawberry rosemary

  4. You guy were in Portland?!?! That’s 4 hours away! Let me know when you come to Seattle. Hope you enjoyed the Pacific NW! πŸ’œ

  5. Wow. You filmed this episode literally 10 feet from my place. I saw the wall of my apartment building in the vid. Sad I missed bumping into you guys.

  6. π‘³π’π’π’Œπ’” 𝒔𝒐 π’šπ’–π’Žπ’Žπ’š 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’…π’†π’π’Šπ’„π’Šπ’π’–π’”! πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 π’„π’π’Žπ’† 𝒕𝒐 π’Žπ’š 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍 𝒕𝒐𝒐 πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

  7. I love the new intro!!! Sometimes (okay… once a week minimum…) I watch old video's and it's so much fun to see you guys (and the intro's) change!

  8. Why not play β€œpeach impediment” everybody makes a savory dish chosen by another, (or drawn our of A hat) made within x minutes. For every unfinished sentence, verbal error, verbal stumble and the likes a peach needs to be added to the dish at the given time point.

  9. For fantastic food at fantastic prices, try Vancouver BC. Went up there for a tech expo this summer, eat our heads off. A lot of Asian influences, I'd guess transplants from Hong Kong, and anything else you can think of.

Even eating at the Food Court at Convention Centre East, there's a little sushi shop that filled up both of us hungry boys a couple of times, and I've never seen such reasonable pricing at a tourist spot. No idea why so many of the others were lining up at McDonald's.

  10. You might be from NCW if you were confused at the idea of "Blue Star" being anything other than fruit warehousing/processing.
    I know I was.

  11. I absolutely LOVE Portland; been there several times over the years and have had a blast each time. Definitely "my people."

  12. Try warming a blueberry bagel in the microwave for 30 seconds, ripping it into small parts, squishing those parts thin, and dipping them into honey mustard.

  13. Video suggestion: One of the normals has to cook the last recipe in one of the chefs' internet search history.

Great video! Loved the taste recognising game.

  14. Oh, I'm so glad they came to Portland! And I'm glad they got to try Olympia Provisions, that place is bomb if you can figure out where to park in that area.

  15. 'Drinking from a can this big makes me feel like a 12 year old' — Ben, overcome with nostalgia and remembering pounding 40s with his dance troupe in middle school.

  16. Was just in Memphis TN last weekend. Fabulous fried catfish at Captain JJs hole in the wall and Rock 'n Roll Cafe delicious melt in your mouth ribs.

  17. So so so so so so so so so glad to see that you went to Salt & Straw (I watched part 2 before this part) and that you checked out my favourite haunts of NE Alberta and Cartopia in SE PDX. Not far from Cartopia is a newer food pod called Hawthorne Asylum that's fantastic, and further up in NE is a great place called Hungry Tiger that does probably my #4 all-time favourite mac-and-cheese. Proud Mary is a fantastic piece of Australian coffee culture in NE Alberta and if you leave Portland and head out to Astoria at the mouth of the Columbia River, the Fort George brewery and public house has some of the best dark beers I've had and the best steak I've ever eaten. Ever.

  18. This was awesome guys! I lived in Portland for 6.5 years and now live in Utah. I always tell people the thing I miss the most about Portland is the food, so this video was amazing! Was the Cartopia one the one in SE Hawthorne??? I hope you guys tried the lavender and honey shakes there if it was!

  19. Must be nice having teeth, radiation destroyed mine. Stupid cancer. I'd kill an old woman to have these food options. (Sarcasm, I'd never hurt anyone) I'm glad you got to enjoy it all though, it all looked beyond belief. I'm glad you boys had a great trip.

  20. I could watch these sort of videos all day! How awesome was Matt n then meeting up later on. I usually don't really think about some places u go to but by the end of the video they are added to my bucket list. Portland looks awesome, they must be proud of such an awesome job u guys have done and I bet we have only just scratched the surface! 😍 😍

  21. made oregon look way too nice lol as a local you video made it look cleaner looking than it is. Also you guys missed another some what interesting fruit that is mostly unique to the North West in America and that is salmon Berries. These fruit are not cultivated and thus only hand picked but you can often find shrubs out in the forest.

  22. I am from Oregon, and you actually pronounced the name correctly. Usually only people on the west coast say it right. Love your channel and glad you got to experience some of the great places around here.
