Garlic Bread Recipe

Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
Today I’m showing you how to make the best garlic bread. It’s simple and easy and makes
the best side dish so let me show you how to make it. The best way to make garlic bread is to make
a garlic butter. This doesn’t take too long and you can do it ahead of time. I’m using
about a cup of butter for this. It will make more garlic butter than I need for this garlic
bread but having garlic butter is one of the best things to have hanging out in your fridge.
You can use it for a tonne of different things. Make sure your butter is at room temperature
or else there is no way you’ll be able to mix it. Place it into a medium sized bowl
and give it a quick stir just to soften. Theres another way of making garlic bread
and that is with olive oil instead of butter. I think this is a great alternative if you
don’t wish to eat butter but I don’t think it gives as good of a result or taste as butter
does. If you are going to use oil, just switch it out for the butter and follow the same
directions. Next is garlic and make sure to use fresh.
About 6 cloves, more or less depending on your tastes. The garlic needs to be crushed
so it can mix well with the butter. The easiest way to do this is with a garlic crusher. Invest
in a good quality one and it will save you a lot of time. There is no need to peel the
garlic, just place the whole clove in and crush it over the bowl with the butter. So
much easier than using a knife. Repeat until you have crushed all of the garlic cloves.
Just a side note if you love a strong garlic taste don’t hesitate to add a few more cloves. If you would like the full recipe for this
garlic bread it will be listed in the information box as well as a printable recipe on my website.
Just click the link on the screen. Mix the garlic and butter together well so
the garlic is evenly combined. The last ingredients for this garlic butter
is Italian flat leaf parsley. I have a bunch of my favourite herbs planted in my kitchen
so they are always on hand when I need them. You’ll need a small handful of the parsley.
Scrunch it between your fingers and use a sharp knife to run through it a few times
until it is finely chopped. Add the parsley to the butter and give it a final mix until
everything is well combined. If you’re not using the garlic butter straight
away you can easily store it in the fridge covered. It will last for 2-3 weeks, just
make sure to remove it from the fridge and bring it up to room temperature before you
are going to use it. It’s the best for garlic bread but you can also use it on steak, a
sauce for pasta, sautéing vegetables, the possibilities are endless. For the garlic bread the last thing you need
is some bread. Whichever kind you would like, or whatever you have on hand. I’m using
some french bread. You can either slice the bread fully or you
can do what I am and leave it together by only slicing 3/4 of the way through. Using
a small knife spread a generous amount of the garlic butter on the bread. Wrap the garlic bread in tinfoil. If you have
sliced the bread just place one on top of the other so the buttered parts are pressed
together. This stops it from drying out. Place the garlic bread into a 200C or 400F oven
for 10 minutes. If you are cooking something else at the same time and the oven is either
a higher or lower than this temperature don’t worry too much at all, the garlic bread is
easy so just adjust the cooking time by a few minutes. After 10 minutes remove the garlic bread from
the oven and unwrap the tin foil. If you have slices arrange them flat for this. Put the
garlic bread back into the oven for 5 minutes to brown and get crispy then it’s ready
to serve. This is one of my favourite side dishes, it’s
delicious and easy to make. Let me know in the comments below if you are going to try
it out. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed this recipe and I will see you in
my next video. Bye.

  5. A little tip: When you are cutting things on a cutting board, when you pick up the parsley make sure you don't use the sharp side of your knife to pick it up, or else it will get dull very quickly like that.
