How to check a faulty thermostat using a multimeter

If you have temperature control issues with
your appliance it may point to a problem with the thermostat. You can test a thermostat’s
continuity using a multimeter. I’ve set up and calibrated this multimeter
as per the instructions and turned the dial to the lowest ohm rating. A working thermostat should have a reading
of zero or as close to zero as possible. This thermostat has a reading of 01 so it’s
working fine- while this one has no reading at all. So this thermostat is faulty and needs
to be replaced
