How to cook pilau (Kenyan Pilau)


Ingredients
Beef 400g
Rice 500g
1 cup of water
Garlic crashed 3 cloves
1 large red onion chopped
Ginger crushed 1tbsp
Blended Tomatoes
Dhania
2 lemons (Kachumbari)
2 Tbsp Pilau Masala.
Potatoes (optional) Prepare all the vegetables: chop garlic, onions and ginger, + blend tomatoes Heat oil on a medium heat, add onions and stir until tender. Add garlic and ginger. Cook to a brown color. Add pilau Masala, stir for 1-2 minutes. Add meat. Stir occasionally until it’s brown. Add blended tomatoes and 1 cup of water. A total of 21/2 cups for 1 cup of rice.. Wash rice. Add RIce. Add peeled potatoes(optional) and cover. Ready to serve
