How to Knead Dough & Bake Bread in a Vitamix 5200 Blender by Raw Blend

Hi it’s Tommy from Raw Blend Here in my dry container, I’ve just finished grinding my whole wheat into flour Now I’m going to show you how easy it is to knead dough You don’t have to get sticky hands ever again You can knead dough right here in the Vitamix machine This is perfect for making breads, pasta or even beautiful pizza bases Here we have some yeast, sugar and water I’m just going to pour it into the hole that’s formed in the centre of the flour here Pour that straight in What we’re going to do we’re going to lock our lid into place I’m just going to pulse that For about 2 seconds right now I’m going to let that sit for a couple of minutes this is a great time to go and grease your oven tray and set the oven at the right oven temperature Alright, we’ve let that sit now what we’re gonna do is pulse that 5 times on and off, very quickly Now we just grab a wet spatula here Just going to bring the sides in with the spatula we’re just going to repeat that process about 5 times once again just grabbing a wet spatula I’m just going to pull the sides in and just keep repeating that process about 5 or 6 times, until we’ve got a dough ball Finally, I’m just going to pulse this for 2 seconds just to raise this right off the blade alright, away we go I’m just going to get a wet spatula we’re going to pour this straight out into our oven tray Look at that, nice dough ball We’re just going to spread that out Just use a wet spatula once again to spread that out Alright, that looks pretty good get that a bit nicer at home we’re going to let that sit for about 10 minutes before putting it into the oven I’m going to show you one that I made earlier Look at that, straight out of the oven Beautiful fresh bread. You know what you’ve put in there So easy in your Vitamix machine you’re going to love this.

  1. Hi JenseninBrizo,
This is done in the dry container. The link to the recipe is in the information just under the video.
    I hope this helps!

  2. This would be helpful if the recipe were posted. On your link the recipe makes no sense…totally confusing. Please clarify or post here. I'd love to use my three yr old dry mix container for something other than emergency powdered sugar.

  3. Also what kind of adjustments would I have to make with a different recipe? Any rule of thumb…proportion of wet to dry more or less oil? Or will the same method work. Talking about the mixing, pulsing, etc.

  4. Great video. Just got my dry container a few days ago and I'm looking forward to making pasta this weekend. Question for you that's totally off topic. I'm a huge watch fan and love great looking watches. What watch are you wearing? Thank you.

  5. Ideally you would do the milling in the dry container. Then use those ingredients to make your bread in something like a stand mixer. It's about using the best tools for the job.

  6. Would love to see a way I could make artisan bread. I buy them all the time at grocery stores. They cost $4.00 a loaf. I love the ones with nuts and dried cranberries or raisins. Any thoughts???

  7. Hey Tommy, do you know if a dry blade assembly will fit in the 64 oz low profile container that came with my 780 model? I wanted to replace the wet blades with the dry ones because I already have 2 containers. TIA
