Pizza Dough Recipe – The Italian Route

These are the ingredients you’ll need
and they will serve two people. 500 gr of sieved white flour, 300 ml of
lukewarm water, 2 tsp of dry yeast 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of sugar,
2 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil Melt the sugar in the water and put it
in a bowl, add the yeast and mix everything very well until it’s melted Add a bit of flour now and start mixing
with your hand Gradually add the flour and keep mixing Once you’ve added half of the flour you
can add the salt and the extra-virgin olive oil Keep working it until it becomes a bit
more compact then you can transfer it to a surface When it’s ready, put a few drops of oil
in a bowl, spread it on the surface and then put the dough in it cover, with
some cling film and then cover with a tea towel Let it prove for at least one hour, but
the longest the better. I usually let it prove in the oven – still switched off. Now
you can divide your dough into two or three parts depending on how big you
like your pizzas. I’m gonna divide it into three Start pulling it and stretching it, giving
it the shape of a disc Remember the edges should be a little
thicker Transfer it on a baking paper, add your
favorite toppings and put the pizza in a preheated oven at around 250 degrees for
about 10 minutes. If you’d like some mozzarella add it 2 minutes before the
pizza is ready
